According to
Assinform/Net Consulting data, Italian Market for IT and
TLC services on 2002 was 60.206 Millions Euro, 2/3 of
which for IT.
Most part of this market is related to Enterprises
investments. If we add 8.000 Millions Euro invested
by Manufacturing companies, plus 7.500 by the Financial
institutions, plus more or less 4.000 each of the Retail
segment, Central Public Admin and Services, plus 2.500
of Local Public Admin plus 1.800 of Insurance companies,
we have a total of 32.000 Millions Euro, 53,3% of the
total IT and TLC market, and almost the 70% of the IT
part of it.

| If
we split just the IT market between Large, Medium, Small
companies and Comsumer, we have that the segment
represented by Large and Medium Enterprises represents
15.421 Million Euro, the 77% on a total of 20.036. The
Small Business segment is the 19% of the total Market,
while the Consumer part have a really modest weight on
the total.
Another way to look at the
IT market is by relating it to the number of employee
within the enterprises: 56% of investments are performed
by 2.651 companies having more than 250 employee, while
24% are made by companies with more than 50 employee.
